Hypertech 1000 PowerStat Low Temperature 160 Degree Thermostat

A Hypertech PowerStat low temperature thermostat is designed to improve your vehicle's performance by allowing the engine to run at cooler temperatures. The lower engine temperatures can increase power in multiple ways. Cooler air is denser, so cooler intake air temperature can improve the air and fuel mixture to increase horsepower. Cooler temperatures can also help decrease the spontaneous combustion of the unburned air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber (otherwise known as knocking, pinging, or detonation). This thermostat is designed to fit like the factory thermostat it replaces, but it opens at 160 degrees, which is a lower temperature than the stock piece.
